Tour Plan
Your adventure begins in Fes, where we set off in the morning towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, often dubbed the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through this picturesque town before continuing to the cedar forests of Azrou, where you’ll have the chance to see playful Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.
As we head further south, the landscape transforms into the dramatic scenery of the Ziz Valley, known for its extensive palm groves and stunning views. We arrive in Merzouga by late afternoon, where the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi greet us. Here, you'll embark on a camel trek into the desert, riding through the golden sands as the sun sets. Arrive at our traditional Berber desert camp, where a delicious Moroccan dinner and the rhythms of Berber music await. Spend the night in a comfortable tent under a blanket of stars.
Rise early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, we depart for Rissani, a historic town known for its vibrant market and as a gateway to the desert. Explore the bustling souk, filled with traditional crafts and local goods.
Our journey continues to the Todgha Gorges, where towering cliffs soar up to 300 meters. Take a walk through the gorge, admiring the breathtaking rock formations and the crystal-clear river that winds through it. In the afternoon, we drive through the Dades Valley, also known as the "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs," due to its numerous fortified villages. We end the day with dinner and an overnight stay at a charming hotel in the Dades Valley.
After breakfast, we continue our journey through the scenic Dades Valley, with its lush green fields and striking kasbahs. We arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Morocco" for its film studios where many famous movies were filmed. Visit the Atlas Film Studios and learn about the history of filmmaking in the region.
Next, we explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient fortified village that has been the backdrop for many films and TV series. Wander through its narrow streets, climb to the hilltop for panoramic views, and marvel at the well-preserved architecture. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional riad nearby.
Start the day with breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains. Cross the winding roads of the Tizi n'Tichka pass, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. Along the way, we'll visit local cooperatives producing Argan oil and learn about its traditional extraction process.
We arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location. Take some time to explore the vibrant city, known for its lively souks, historic palaces, and bustling squares.
